What a heartbreaking ballad...the Stones song Elvis should have done...or James Brown...god bless him!! Always loved it..I wonder is it about Brian..or Marianne?...mostly good songs are about everyone...like Miss You(Some Girls version) could be about everyone one miss..its a feeling I guess...Shine..is about Marianne I think.
Yeah S Sister Soul!!!That could be true...cause the soul is still livin!! So it could be Gram Parson too!!!I think jagger gave it all in this song..I go play it loud now!!
i never could see it as being about a female (if only because of "makin bloodshot eyes at every woman that you meet") but it sure is someone the Mick loves a lot.
Yea that's a beautiful song, the Voodoo Lounge versions are great too, and the version released on the Leon Russel album, featuring both Mick's. Come to think of it, there's only the 2 Mick's at the Exile version too...or was Charlie there? At least Keith is missing.

Hi Rooster, it's available on several bootlegs as well. It was released on a limited edition CD of Leon's first album, under the tile "(Can't Seem To) Get A Line On You". It's not really Leon's version, but he plays piano on that one.
