Ha! Amazing. I was right there with you up until the Gorilla Guy! I can't remember that at all! Did I mention that I'm a stoner too? That might have something to do with it...that show was cool for me because Mick came up during Satisfaction and actually waved at me from a few feet away, which was a first at the time and shocked the hell out of me. And better yet, I have a bootleg DVD of the show which actually catches the moment.

I have snuck away for many shows since Atlanta - people ask me where I've been since last Spring and I just say, "I've been out of town". Since I can't afford it and charge it all, I can't even tell my mother I'm out of town because of the guilt I'd feel (she still helps me out some financially at the end of the year but this year, I'll still have a big carryover into '07). I think I'm supposed to be settling down and having babies now - oh well. Sometimes you gotta live for the moment...even if the moment lasts 2 years or more.

I was in the desert near Joshua tree when I saw strange white & red lights in the night sky, as they approached I heard a Shhhh... shhhh... shhhh... then, an odd jingling,

then this alien/rasta/geezer/pirate steps out of this flying Bentley... man I though it was the acid, but he mumbles something about, "the f#@!%ing cold, glad to be anywhere right? thanks man, ere, it's from the future"
lights a funny looking cigarette and hands me & a card with a website address scribbled on it.

Then he passes me the cigarette, and hops back in his Bentley pulled by tiny reindeer, and shhhh.... shhhh... shhhhh.... dooo.... beee.... he flys off just like that.

So I go to the local internet cafe, type in the address, and well...

Merry Mercy Me, here I am!

The exact same thing happened to me. What are the odds?

That's really cool little queenie. Keep doing what you're doing, you're on the right path no matter what anyone says. I think I'm supposed to be putting my bong away and raising babies myself by now, but what kind of fun is that? Rock on, little queenie!

Hey Little Queenie,

I cut and pasted the story of the gorilla guy....it turns out it was cirrhosis who first noticed him.

Mick seemed to be about to address the crowd after LSTNT, but Keith immediately launched into IORR. Mick was at the mic stand holding a water bottle, and appeared to be caught off guard.

There was also a strange incident during Happy that I'm surprised no one has mentioned. The roadie failed to replace Ronnie's TPIE pedal steel with the lap version he uses on Happy. Ronnie was near Chuck motioning for someone to hand it to him for a while, then walked back to the pedal steel. It was almost as if he were considering, "Should I just use this one?"

This went on for a good minute before someone finally got the instruments replaced. After Ronnie sat with the lap steel, it was still about 20 seconds before everything got sorted out. Fortunately, Ronnie still managed to come in on cue. After the show, Ronnie went backstage and hugged the roadie. It appeared to be his way of saying, "It happens, mate!"

Also of note, is that Keith actually stepped off the stage near the end of the concert (Satisfaction, maybe?). Some guy in a red shirt had been really getting into the show and apparently Keith took note. He stepped down off the riser, walked over to the small gate and personally handed the guy a pick. The man appeared briefly on the giant screen, going nuts over this. He was actually shaking the gates like a gorilla!

Anyone else catch any of this, or know what the deal with the guy was?
