Looking for a Music Man Silhouette

I would like to buy a white Music Man Silhouette (The same as the one used by Keith between 88 and 93).
Do you know (a good place) where I could order it ?
I have been looking on the internet for a few hours and it is not so easy to find.
The best would be a shop in France (Paris).

Thanks,

By the way, who has tried it ?
Is it as great as Keith was saying ?

I owned one a few years ago. The neck is a great fender style neck, but a lot easier to play. The best neck I ever had. The sound was much to heavy for me, it's the perfect guitar for metal and the heavy sounds. I did never get along with the sound, and so I sold it for about 900 € to ... a death metal guitarist.

For classic rock and Stones sound get a good Tele or Strat or a G&L model.

How would you compare the sound of the Music Man Silhouette to a Les Paul ?

When I listen the sound of Ron Wood on the intro of Brown Sugar during the Tokyo 90 show (26/02/1990), it is the perfect stones sound. It is a Music Man Silhouette, isn't it ?
Ronnie was still great at this time. This version is magic.

Did Ronnie play the intro?

Keith was of course playing the intro in open G as usual but Ronnie was supporting with great licks. I love his sound. Listen carefully, he has rarely done his job so well.

The Ernie Ball is one of the best guitars I have ever played. The neck just truly is unbelievable. Unfortunately, it's also one of the absolute ugliest guitars I have played.

I use this guitar but as Mathijs says it`s really ugly.Or maybe pretty in 80`s style.Ive been falling in in love with this guitar since Steel Wheels tour.Stays in tune very well , it is rather bright sounding.I swapped DiMarzio Paf Pro humbucker for P-90 and now it has great vintage look and more pleasant sound.I can send You some photos.I would like to trade it for some interesting vintage or vintage reissue guitar.

Thanks for the link to hightechdistribution.
They sell the Silhouette for about 2000 Euros.
It seems very expensive. It might be a better option to order it directly from the US.

Well, I've had 2 (one being stolen).
I think they're terrific. THat and the B-bender are my main guitars.
They're very lightweight, on the smallish side, have an incredible neck,
one of the best-made guitars I've ever played.
With the pickups, lots of sound configurations: Tele, Strat, Les Paul.
I don't see it as a "death-metal guitar" at all.
I don't know why Music Man/Ernie Ball didn't push it more.
As for it being ugly, well, the Flying V was never that attractive to me,
nor was the Gibson Explorer, or the BC Rich Bitch (remember that?).
I could go on and on about ugly guitars, so who cares.
In the eye of the beholder.

I agree, best made guitar with incredible neck. I personally never got into it, to perfect and not stunning. And it's really ugly...

If you ever get out in California, you can tour the Musicman factory in San Luis Obispo. Alot of handmade care goes into their axes.

I've never played one,but I love the way they sound on AT THE MAX. Really heavy sounding, but not too metal sounding.Keith seemed to get a kick out of them,he was playing the hell out of that thing.I've always wanted one.

Pleased to meet you......

doesn't look ugly to me, but it does sound a little thin at that Guitar Legends concert.

One of the best Keith's solo played on the Silhouette.

The sound is incredible.

Other great moments with this guitar:
-Gimme Shelter on the Eileen Single.
-999 on the Boston 93 DVD.

BTW, is it a Music Man Silhouette on the studio version of 999 ?

Too sad he does not play this guitar anymore.

The heavy sound is more due to the Marshall Plexi amp used for this solo.
