LoFL - i was just coming back to edit mine too, because i can't be bothered "arguing" about it either:
not only did i not mean "all of it" - i didn't even mean "most of it". and i phrased it badly
because i was hot on the trail of how important their self-sufficiency as songwriters/performers was.

As someone already put it: The Beatles were the Gods, The Rolling Stones were very-very famous. So, the Beatles would probably have headlined the tour.
Performing live... Well, I am pretty sure who would have been better on stage, The Stones of course.
