Who is the greatest harp player of all time?

I ask because I'm looking for some music to get into. Jagger has mentioned Slim Harpo but I'm curious who are the other contenders. Really the question should be plural. Who are the greatest harp players of all time...?

Couldn't resist.

Actually, Little Walter, yes. He invented the whole, wail-it-though-a-microphone-so-it-distorts thing.

... you'll never want to bother with the Stones' 'Confessin' the Blues' again!

Who can forget such a woman?
Suddenly I remember what the speach ended with...

"You can be a great harp player, but you don't believe in God!"

Mick wouldn't allow John Popper to play onstage with the Stones in 97 since he "plays too many notes".

Poor John!

Recently met him at a club when Tinsley Ellis and Kent Duchaine were playing. Real class act guy and a hell of a harp player.

I've always been a big fan of Jerry Portnoy.

Jerry was Muddy Waters harmonica player throughout most of the 70's.

After Muddy, Portnoy has had a successful solo career and has played on many artists recordings and toured with many others including Eric Clapton.
