It's very good timing for anybody that fancies one...because it's just been re-issued. [with a few revisions to aid playability and stability of the neck joint...but still essentially true to the original specs]. The various interchangable pickups are being nnade available again too by Dan Armstrong's son,Kent.]

Prior to this, originals were very scarce and the easier to find coppies weren't always up to much or very faithful to the unique design features.

And I can vouch for Kent Armstrong's pickups having fitted them to several guitars. The only cost £40 each compared with maybe £100 for seymore duncan of similar quality. The guys at WD music (UK) are very helpful too.

I can vouch for Ishibashi Music. I bought a Telecaster from them a few months and they have excellent customer service and the guitar srrived within a few days or ordering.

Thank you sssoul, I converted the pdf to bmp. Let's see if this works better!

The book, by the way, is "ampeg the story behind the sound" by Hopkins and Moore, great read if you are into these things.
