You miss the point. The Stones have their old material recycled and repackaged probably more than any other 'current band' - and if you get the material youre personally dying to get, you can bet that in a couple of years time, it'll be done all over again. At least Stones fans have a band thats still able to create fresh material - so theres less excuse for it.
When they set up their own label in 1971, they even took out full page ads in the music press criticising Decca for releasing 'inferior' repackaging of old product by choosing to out out 'Stone age' in the same month as 'Sticky Fingers'
Yet, in the 35 years since leaving Decca, of the 27 albums theyve released, only 14 have been studio albums, with 6 live albums and 7 compilations
Since 'Undercover'in 1983, theyve released five studio albums, four live albums and four compilations. And thats not counting the remasters and reissues.
And Stones fans criticise ABCKO?
