I can't believe that no one has mentioned that the 1975 penis in Star Star was altered for the Los Angeles shows to appease the LAPD. A fingernail was added so it would suggest a finger rather than a penis.

I was at three of those shows, and that's how I remember that inflatable. Maybe I'm nuts. Anyone out there able to corroborate my recollection?

It guess it would be bad form to follow that SF cover, surely the classiest Stones inflatable of all, even if it was pumped it up by Joe Dallesandro.

But to close the loop on a question I raised many posts back, Jagger makes an oblique reference to the Stones' penis' brush with the law on page 193 of According to the Rolling Stones ("I think the penis even got arrested somewhere!")

According to NME at the time, the National Star were NOT impressed with the Stones' use of inflatables for the 1975 tour!
