I must be the only person in the world who really likes Indian Girl.

It's all relative. A "bad " Stones song is still better than 98% of the other stuff out there.

cosmoprim, I like IG too. Great acoustic sound, a little weak lyrically. Don't understand the sheer hatred of it though.

That's the thing, Elmo. It seems like the vast majority of Stones fans just despise that song.
For me, it's a little jewel (as I've mentioned before, I'm a sucker for border horns) - bizarre lyrics and all.

Indian Girl, Gomper, Out of Tears (easily the worst single) are all bad songs.

Plenty of forgettable songs too....but, as a percentage of the catalog, the number of bad songs is miniscule.

There is only like 10 for me. Hold Back, Hold On To Your HAt, Techno Juiced, Sing Together see What Happens, Suck On Jugular, Summer Romance, Just Want to see his Face, Suzie Q. Maybe 3-4 others tops for me anyway. Rest I like to really like! MEZ

no bad stones songs; only bad stones fans . . .

you can't catch me!

Hold onto you hat? I'll disagree on that one...great rocker. Just Want To See His Face sounds like an outtake, but it fts on the album...especially when it was an ALBUM, that was y favorite side of the 4.

I forgot about Suck on the Jugular and Summer Romance.

This thread did get me thinking. Without a doubt, as a percentage of the whole catalog, the Stones have few dogs, compared to their peers: The Who and Led Zepellin. I LOVE the Who, but they had some bad songs, especially early on.

One 'bad' IMHO Stones song I will add to the list, but I know lots of fans like, is 'Hot Stuff'.

Emotional Rescue is a downright rotten song.

Have you heard Their Satanic Majesties Request? Pick any song off that POS... Short and Curlies isn't a bad song at all.

I like INDIAN GIRL (no foolin).

The Stones have plently of duds, but thier % of great/very good vs dud is puts them in an elite catagory.

BB thru Exile there are almost ZERO duds.

Except for the Beatles, The Stones have a better batting average than any other band. ANd the Beatles went out on top so the comparison is difficult.

don't give me that ole one two, one two three four

It is actually fun to read the posts of fans' most outstanding least favorite songs.... as some of them are my absolute favorites. And as the saying goes, that's why they make vanilla and chocolate ice-cream (or something like that)

I don't even have to backup the fact that this is bullshit.

Wow....just wow.

There are bad Stones songs, but it sure as hell isn't any of these!

What's next, Brown Sugar?
