They also leave out " I've got to leave today to fly to Baton Rouge
My nerves are shot already - the road ain't all that smooth" from Memory Motel
Long term memory loss?

Tod, what did Jagger actually sing?
I totally agree with you: he wimped out, simple as that. That is jyust rationalizing about Kennedys, politiacl climate blah blah.

"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."

wasn't at the second show - don't know for sure - heard from others that the entire line/stanza of the song was omitted.

I didn't. I'm just being realistic and I'm not one of those who want every song note perfect (Better without for this particular band). Some people think, when hearing they played "Sway" for the first time, that it must've sounded like on the record. Of course it wouldn't. Then we have to hear the bitching because Ronnie is not Mick Taylor, Jagger doesn't sing with the same growl he used to etc. etc. I hate that.

I think its wimping out. I really Like how they changed it to "White girls...." I dont see the problem with that. they should have just sang it that way. because they were changing it to be less offensive and being ironic at the same time. It was great.

i've never heard anyone say they wanted to hear Sway played as on the record. Show me a single post that suggests that. Most people would like to hear it played competently, which is wasn't the first several times out. That's just not debatable. As to the omission of the SG line - that's a completely different subject altogether. By your logic, you'd have no problem with the Stones inserting lyrics from "What the World Needs Now is Love" instead of the omitted line/verse on the basis of artistic freedom.

"Black girls just want to get @#$%& all night ,
I just don´t have that much jam!"

Even here it´s incomplete.

I think it is disgraceful not to sing the original lyrics.

I can almost see Margaret Dumont (the big lady who played a high society matron in so many Marx Brothers films) say those words.

The Marx Bros. were the original wild men. They were insane--rock stars before rock music had even been invented.

I never said it was written anywhere. But I'm sure many people think it.
I agree that it wasn't the best for the first couple of times (Although the very first one in Columbus is good IMO).
About the SG line: Why shouldn't they be allowed to do so? You don't want to give them any freedom in what they're doing with their own music?

Loved it!

Too bad Mick can't pronounce "@#$%&" in the song -- then he wouldn't actually be saying what the black girls wanna be doing.
