Well, as I remember the situation in fall 2005, there were many ideas, where they might play in 2006, but no half-official rumours with dates and places. I know exactly that at the same day, some hours before the real dates were officially announced, I printed out a list with "sure" dates and places...with places like racetrack Hockenheim or AOL-Arena Hamburg...hmmm - two hours later I got the real data, for example with very surprising things like Stuttgart, Nurnberg or Frankfurt.

This was for 2006, for 2007, I heared some weeks ago that the management of Wildparkstadion in Karlsruhe (Germany) was asked for a gig, also Paris.
I don't know about the validity of these propositions.
A courious point, though, is that until now not many statements came out, and compared with 2005, it doesn't be a straight sign for a tour in 2007, IMO.

I think they will come back to something more classic, like announcing the tour 2/3 months before tour start only instead of the 6/7 months we got used to.

People will feel more concerned at short notice, and tickets may sell even better, especially if the prices don't raise.

Well, there is one show rumoured for Poland in May. There is a thread about it... The rumour seems to be pretty strong here

No rumors of any dates in Europe right now, it might not even happen.....i doubt it will happen..

And we well all starve to death, kill each others
in wars, there will be mourning. The glbal heating will flood the planer,
but long before that all animal & Human life will be extinct.

As long as people like the blockhead-local promotor down in Poland
who talked beside his mouth will be demonstarting their abilities,
they sure as hell wont seal any deal.

These weeks are the critical ones and just let them keep on finishing the
arranging and we will all be happy (and a lot poorer).

I would be very surprised if anything but the most vague ideas have been floated or any proposals sent to actual venues, promoters and so on...I would think that the Stones camp have probably been far too busy the past few weeks with all the cancelations, reshuffling, rescheduling and movie filming with this American tour to think very much about planning for Europe next year...not yet at least. At this point there might not be any real info to leak, give it more time -- Christmas maybe or early next year

A few months ago, when the European tour was subject to all those cancellations...folks around here were going balistic that the Stones machine was even daring to talk about the fall tour of North America.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't ;^)

On the contrary I would guess a sizeable part of the itinerary (the main stadium shows anyway) is as good as arranged. Traditionally, they confirm and announce Euro tours in late November - whilst still in the middle of their current American tour

as for the cancellations and rescheduling distracting them from announcements - there was much more disruption to this year's European tour, and they still managed to have the US dates announced just 2 weeks after the European trek kicked off.

Theres probably less problems with announcing this new tour as I would imagine that several of the venues and cities will be the same as those cancelled during the summer.

Iceland on June 26, 2007- It's not mainland Europe but it is considered Europe and they never played there before.

Azores on June 29, 2007- Not mainland Europe but still considered Europe.

Stonehenge England on July 1 2007- Never played Stonhenge before

Dublin Ireland on July 3 2007

Philadelphia PA on July 4th 2007- Definitely not Europe but many Europeans settled in Philadelphia in olden times of yore.


Dublin Ireland on July 6 2007-Back to mainland Europe...a rare Irish gig

July 8th - 20th in Spain- 8 shows to make up for previous cancellations...

More dates to follow...stay tuned

Wheres the 'maverick' when you need him. and my mrs wants me to book our flights for august next year and finding it hard to understand that we had to arrange our holidays this year around the stones & possibly for 2007 as well.

...And possibly 2008 too, concerning some things Bv has posted.
