I think it's great too...just messing around.

Still, I feel bad for those people holding tix to his AC show.

Ok, ok...Tony is a legend and surely this was a unique and surely powerful show.

Ain't Scorcese trying a little too hard with his demographics?

Tony Bennett is an artist.

Christina's a slut for the "young crowd" who don't know who the Stones are and don't care. And why should they?

Jack White fits another slot in the demographics.

Sometimes Mick needs to re-think and "just say no."

I took my mom to see Tony Bennet a few years ago, her lifelong idol.
She had tears in her eyes of happiness, and so did I.
He is a legend, and always will be.

But a duet with the Stones? On JJF?!!!
Come one, it's like mixing sweet cream with battery acid.
It doesn't gel, and it doesn't make sense.

Just got back to the hotel. Christina was great -- she was incredibly hot, and had her part down cold. The plexiglass had Brown Sugar before Satisfaction, but they cut it. They did not check id's (or at least not mine) while entering. I'll let someone else report because I need to get to DC in time for meetings tomorrow.

No doubt Tony Bennett is a great singer. His material isn't to my taste, but that's just my opinion. I just can't imagine his style fitting in with the Stones, especially on a rough rocker like JJF. Maybe on a ballad, Memory Motel or something.

Before I go, I thought that the the pre-gig atmosphere was like going to see a musical w/my family. There were old ladies with earplugs. Even with all the cool tunes, it all felt a little staged. And it seemed to me like you could take all the pictures you wanted -- at least from the opper balcony.

That would have to be the worst JJF ever! I heard Martha Stewart was gonna sing Brown Sugar and whip up a bundt cake, but it was deemed too tacky.

Now who in the Stones Camp would have deemed it tacky??? I think Cohl would have found a way to cross market that!

Well, I'm taking my 17 year old daughter to the Christina Aguilera show in San Jose, CA in March - I sure hope she invites Mick on stage with her to share a song!

He'll likely fly in from London to return the favor.

probably the same seats they chased fans from earlier in the night...just another "oopsie" from the organization.
