Personally I hope they move Dodger Stadium to the 19th or after Honolulu, as I have an important football game I am attending on the 18th which I'll have to leave at half time to go to the Stones show that evening.

I've seen him before the show and it's all true. This coming from a man who finished second in a Mick Jagger dance-a-like contest while ohno, drake, and StonesDoug watched!

you'll probably get an e-mail tonight offering you a collectors item T-shirt for the Atlantic City show that never was

Either that or as we speak theyre working on the design of a commemorative t-shirt with the dates of all of the shows pulled this year emblazoned proudly on the back...

Indeed I am. Ever since they announced this leg of the tour, I've been playing in my mind what's the latest I could leave the Coliseum and make the relatively short drive to Dodger Stadium, find parking and search for a ticket. I feel I'm safe leaving at halftime (around 6:30), but would like to push it even more, yet not miss any of the Stones show.

Cal will be so far ahead by half time that it won't matter. SC doesn't seem to have the fire power to score enough points to win that one.

I didn't actually write that (PedroThePimp did), but it is true nonetheless.

Kind of weird, since the Stones rehearsed yesterday night until 11:30 PM.

Boardwalk Hall website says re-scheduled for Nov 17.

This is going to screw up the Dodger Stadium Show, you watch.

has this been officially announced??
I would think the only source is not the post at the top of this thread but I have not found it.
Hoping for all of you AC ticketholders that it is not true
I now see on boardwalkhall.com is says rescheduled for 11/17
sucks!

Ah, well - we're not exactly screaming with joy out here in the former swamp - now known as Atlantic City. But fact is: Nobody died. A sore throat can be cured. And we'll get the ticket money back. As we did for Barcelona, Madrid, Gothenburg, Brussels and others.
Let's just face it: The Stones have reached an age where a lot of people actually have retired... And some are even dead. So, *I've decided to make the best of this - and go out to celebrate that everyone's alive and that there will be more shows. I refuse to get depressed.
Borgota has a nice Stones "Aftermath"-party tonight, by the way. Just turn up and party!

well I hope youre not waiting on rs.com to break the news....

Sorry to hear about that cancellation, Shidoobee. But it must be even worse for the ones travelling from far away, without Beacon tickets.

Re: Atlantic City cancelled!

If it turns out that the Stones can not do the first Beacon gig, it would make sense for them to cancel both. They could then try to do the filming out in California around the time of the Dodger Stadium gig. This would give Jagger time to rest and would likely be much easier for Martin to get the filming he wants. I'd think the Wiltern would be the likely spot for something like that...although the El Ray would be the best spot.

There seems to be some confusion now regarding the cancallation. My Canadian neighbours in the hotel, called the box office at the Boardwalk hall, and they said it's not cancelled. So we're going over!

Re: Atlantic City cancelled!
Posted by: Gazza ()
Date: October 27, 2006 23:14

someone else posted on shidoobee (ie, the site!) a couple of hours ago that someone at the box office had said the same, but every other source and person whos there seems to believe its off.

Gazza! We're walking stright up to the hall now, and to the hotel where the Stones are staying afterwards. We'll be back with news.

youre typing as you walk?

anyway - someone from shidoobee was told on the phone by TM that its postponed and its on the wires that its off -

Tonight's Rolling Stones show in A.C. postponed

Mick Jagger has a sore throat and tonight's Rolling Stones concert at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall has been canceled.

According to a release, Jagger will rest on doctor's advice.

The concert was rescheduled for Nov. 17. All tickets from the original show will be honored. To give satisfaction to Stones fans, the nearby Pier at Caesars is doing an impromptu Stones-themed party in its common areas and clubs. Stones impersonators can be seen walking around in the new shopping-dining center.
