Are there any secrets, methods, hints, etc. to ensuring you get tix when buying online? anybody know? or is it just the luck of the draw?

i think the key is to refresh constantly until they let you in and then type the friggin password or word they give you really quickly.. if you don't you won't get in... but sometimes different computers get you in quicker..with atlantic city we tried with two computers simultaneously and one got in faster but we didn't have our ducks in a row and both ended up getting shut out on the 100$ tickets...

so generally i don't think its luck.. its how quickly do you take care of business

For most shows - The first tickets that you are offered are usually not the best. Throw them back. Keep trying. Sometimes the day of the show there will be a ticket drop of some of the best tickets. A couple weeks ago I pulled seventh row Pool Circle tickets for Roger Waters at The Hollywood Bowl two days before the show. Don't settle for just getting in.

i agree what Rialb writes is applicable for most shows...

with the beacon though, which is obviously a super hard ticket, i shouldn't just settle for getting in?

If you were trying to get them on the floor, they didn't have any for that show. Only the hoigh priced tickets on the floor in AC.

no i was just trying to get any 100$ tickets.

but all is well..

i now believe i have obtained one ticket through a friend and another through ebay (if transaction works out).. so i expect to be there!
