Do you think they actually READ all of our contest essays?

I'm talking about the Beacon contest for members, of course.

Absolutely, and the have a fair number of people do so. A pretty decent way of getting tickets in the hands of the most deserving. Better than leaving it up to scalpers to steal them all from TicketBastard.

Absolutely No. Why should they?

It's just an alibi to show they care.

I think it's a random draw, no matter what you've written.

Agree with Grievous Angel...the employees at rs.com (or whoever it is) couldn't care less.

I don't think they read all of them. I believe if they pull your name, and they like what they see, you're in.

I got a review back on my saying that:

It's a pithy commentary of contemporary mores, that aims more at the heart than the head, two thumbs up . . . er, shame about your atrocious spelling and punctuation or you coulda been in the front row.

Quite agree, tis a random draw. I'd be totally stunned to discover (as if I ever would) that they even truly read a single bloody one.

No.It will be totally random. To be honest I think multiple enteries would be undetected.Only if you won several times over might that happen. And the probability of that ,well I have more chance of bumping into Keef at my local Indian restaurant.

I think the only ones they'll take notice of are the ones who come across in the first sentence as borderline fruitcakes. And I think theyre more likely to throw a restraining order in their general direction than a couple of tickets

Whether or not they ever get read, I suppose that after the contest is over, it might be fun for people to post some of their essays here in these forums...
