There was an issue of Total Guitar Magazine with a transcription of Honky Tonk Women sometime in the years 1996 - 1998. It was also included on the CD. This might be a long shot, but can somone please provide the issue # and month and year of this issue? It would also be helpful to know who is on the cover.

there was also an issue of Guitar World magazine around the time of the Licks tour that featured Keith on the cover and had "Brown Sugar" and "Honky Tonk Women" transcribed in it........I have it if you want the date and issue # and all that

I have that issue of Guitar World. I think the transcription of "Honky Tonk Women" is just an excerpt. I could be wrong.

Is it really? I thought it was the whole thing.........I could be wrong though, I never use tab anywayz.......but it's nice to have if you're totally stumped.

Actually I think you are right. The Guitar World had the complete transciption. A later issue of Total Guitar than the one I asked about had an excerpt. I haven't looked yet, but I think that's right.

I found the info I wanted from another site.

Keiths live solo is not even close to the tabs in theses mags...Check out the Four Flicks DVD and go for it in open-g tuning.

The total guitar issue had the backing track but no tab due to copyright. I remember the issue. It had some in the style of licks in it.
