Watts referenced the '75/'76 Ollie Brown versions and said something along the lines that it was difficult with so many percussionists on stage.Jagger noted the new loop for this tour and Wood was claiming that the current versions are the best ever (get him copies of some 1970 boots).
Haven't checked Virtual for week or so but the Boston Gillette video is a good laugh... Mick changin' his dance steps and Keith gettin' his "Finger on the pulssssssse...if ya get my drift"
hahaha, i like the virtual ticket videos, however...there seem to be less this tour (a shame) i think its a good video, REALLY neat how they pieced together a bunch of sympathy performances at the end, lights are going crazy, jagger singing, guitar, the loop!! its pretty intense!

I agree. Todays version is sad, sad, sad. Its pathetic..wooohooo, woooohooo SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE HIM A COPY OF YA-YAS WHERE THE GUITAR PLAYERS MADE THE SONG A LIVE CLASSIC. It used to be a dark, stunning song....just pop fodder today.
well it's better then licks, this version. But noting beats 1969 and even 1989 was great, when keith actually a great solo every night instead of some notes now
SFD played live these days is nowhere near as good as it was back in the 70's... those who were too young or not born yet really missed out..it's a very tired song

Dunno,it was definetely one of the highlights for me in Twickenham, second show.To be honest I haven't expected much from it because it always sounded kind of artificial with the loop but I was proved wrong. It was my first Stones show so I really have no credibilty to talk about other tours' versions.
