Anyone Going To Missoula, Any Gathering in Missoula? Link to Series of Articles from Missoula Independent

Will there be a gathering in Missoula or are there just too few of us going?

I am planning on going up to the M on the hill above the stadium to try to catch the sound check at about 3 or 4.

We might even catch a glimpse of the Plexiglass from up there and can worship.

Anyone know where they are staying?

If anyone knows anything, speak up. I know it won't be anything like the Cabbage Patch, but we seem to have fun in Montana anyway with fewer people!

Gazza, I wish to hell you were here but oh well. Is BV all set for someone to text in the set list or could he use someone to help? Only thing, I won't text to Europe due to the costs, I assume.

I just got 6th row for $99 in Regina Friday too. Any gathering there?

Here's a copy of a message on Shidobee with a link to a series of articles from the Missoula Independent:

A link to a series of articles, opinions, and even a fun "match Keith's answers to the questions" reprint......

I don't know about any parties tonight other than the huge party me and my wife will be at tonight at grizzly stadium when the worlds greatest rock and roll band take the stage. At 47, this'll probably be the last concert I ever get to and what away to end my concert going years, some 300 concerts later. I've seen most of the greatest except for some sixties greats who were dead before I could see 'em. The Stones are the greatest R&R BAND OF ALL TIME, LONG LIVE THE STONES AND THEIR MUSIC.

Joe - Don't say that! You're never to old to rock & roll, are you? There'll be someone else who comes around that you'll want to see.

47's to young to pack it in!

Enjoy the show.

It is a sold out show with 21,000 tickets. One of the smallest stadium shows of the tour; only Bergen Norway smaller outdoor crowd. And they released a few more tickets in Missoula yesterday, when the stage layout was finished, and they saw some empty spots, like they always do.

Thanks BV for editing my subject title.

Gazza and BV, I will be sending in the set list for Shidobee to Tongue Lady who will actually post it. If convenient, I suppose IORR can just take that and post it on this board (as I have seen happen before).

Actually, I will be phoning them in to her. Gazza, since you have done this kind of work before, any tips or is there nothing really to know? Thanks.

Should add that from what I have seen so far, the whole town has been completely swept up and enraptured by the first appearance of the Stones in their town and our state.

It has been in the newspapers every day for at least a week I would say with two front page articles and photos this morning. Go to the site for the Missoulian.

Sometimes, us old vets can get jaded, but this is exciting.

I am not gazza but I have phoned the text list in on Shidoobee before. One thing I can tell you is you might have trouble getting an open circuit to call out on with that many people there in one place. It's a lot easier to send a text messgae out though. Have fun, I'll be watching the set list come in.

its pretty straightforward, but the most important thing to do is dont let it hamper YOUR enjoyment of the show too much. texting initials of songs saves time. have fun

Maybe they will play a cover of Montana by Frank Zappa. Here's a link to it if you haven't heard it [download.yousendit.com]

Have fun tonight, let us know how it goes.

i'd be happy to help - but I'm doing the chores on yet another board - and I'm tired already - will only do this up to b-stage, at which point everybody can fill in the rest on their own, anyway....

At this point it sounds like Rain Fall Down should be a regular part of the set lsit. Since that is what seems to happen at every show. Why could'nt they play @#$%& arenas?

so louisville isn't the only town getting the standard set

are you kidding?

Re: Missoula news and show tonight

no, it's just on this leg of the tour, so far louisville was the only one with the standard set (and the only one i've gone to so far this fall). standard - with the exception of keith's songs. i saw dead flowers (the surprise song of louisville which was predictable) and ADTL in other shows over the last year. i am dying for a set list like boston, NJ, and witchita. i will see it in chicago next week!
