STRAY CAT BLUES: "It's no hanging in my court, it's no capital crime" - should of course be, though I only realised recently" It's no hanging ma-tter - it's no capital crime"

When listening to me blaring "Respectable" at full volume, my Mum misheard Mick's hollering somewhat by asking me "whats that he's singing? 'Crack The Bone' ?"

In "Beast Of Burden" - throw it all at me, I'll just shrug it off - I thought he was saying "crying laughter, I'll just shrug it off".

There's a lot of lines in BoB that I got wrong when it first came out.

I don't remember what I thought the first line was, I think I just mumbled it, but I thought he said "I can suck a duck".

I know, it doesnt make sense, but that's what I heard.

He never sings those words, just sounds that fit the melody. What's the deal? Does he not remember the line every time or is it intentional?

I don't understand a single word he says but I sing along anyhow.

He misheard the title

For years I thought Mick sang "between the buttons" on "Dirty Work". I prefer my version. (I'd have to look up what he actually sings there but I really have no excuse as that album came w/the lyrics on the sleeve...).

Mrs. roadster told me the following

"I was a butcher caught in the meat."
and
"My best friend he shots waterrats and feeds them to his kids."
