I've just been listening to that stinking alarm-clock. May it burn in hell.

Erik - we must be separated at birth! Makes you want to shoot those "morning people", doesn't it? (StonesTod, pretend you didn't read that).
I don't use an alarm clock any more, but when I did, the first word out of my mouth every day way, "SHIT!"

An excellent compilation called The Rough Guide to South African Gospel - and the last but one track is definitely a close relative of George Harrison's My Sweet Lord - same 4-note "Hallelujah" phrase, same "really want to see you, but it takes so long..." lyrics. I haven't got the liner notes with me at the moment, but I'm going to check release dates to see which of these was the inspiration for the other.

Ah, the coolest thing just happened. I was driving to work - changing the stations not find anything good, and all of a sudden I hear - YOU GOT THE SILVER! on the radio! I almost drove off the road!

Even cooler, it wasn't as though they were playing the entire LIB album, or a RS block, it was just the one song. How great is that, on regular radio no less!

YAY!!!!!

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

Derek and The Dominoes Live at the Fillmore. I haven't heard this in years but man Clapton had the fire in fingers then. If you don't have this then I highly recommend it as it has some of his best playing on record, at least to my ears. Woof!

Supposedly with Ian Stewart on piano. I don't know if that one's true or urban legend?

Lindsey Buckingham - Under the Skin.

This guy has always been a great picker! Nice version of "I Am Waiting" He also recorded great versions of "Gotta Get Away", "The Singer Not The Song", and "She Smiled Sweetly" for his aborted "Gift of Screws" album. I guess he has a thing for mid sixties Stones!

Anyway, This is a pretty good album!
