all this talk about plexi glass reminds me of how at the beggining of the biggber bang tour, after the first night, I wrote the set list on my bathroom mirror with a dry-erase marker so It would look like charlies plexi-glass. My roomoate said he felt like he was in the rolling stones when he saw it.

Just back from the show WOW they surprised me. THank all the Gods I really did not think they would shake it up like this in a Stadium.

Virgil, you lucky man.

Great list--

One thing--I agree with half ofthis statement: "Can't You Hear Me Knocking should be regularly switched in for Midnight Rambler." I love CYHMK, and I'd love to hear it, hear it played along with MR, that is. It's such a kick to hear MR live, always. I know CYHMK has been rehearsed for quite a while now, in the tour.

(Power to the Plexiglass.)

Oh dear god PG. Please do not strike me down. Instead could you play Memory Motel. (Just thought I would ask, as long as I am here).

If there is a Plexiglass, why does he let bad things happen to good people?

Also, is Bill Wyman in heaven? I mean, he's dead?....Right?

Oh yeah! Roll on atlantic city indeed!

This is a great great great setlist. I can't believe it, Keiths set. I think i would be in tears after that...

I am not a huge fan of PIB, but to see it as an opener, well that could convert me!

Can't wait...

PLEASE take this setlist back to Europe in 2007....
Don't know where to find the money but I'll definately visit two shows if they'll start with PIB, and if Keith does things in the range of YGTS and LT&A. Not to mention Monkey Man, MAN!!!

I'm very happy about this setlist. I can imagine they will be slightly more conservative when playing playing places like Halifax, Wichita, Missoula, Regina, Boise, etc, for the first time. But for the return visits to NY, Chicago, Seattle, SF, Phoenix, LA, Vegas, etc, this is very promising!

Another exception was the amp problem in MSG in 98. The Stones whipped Little Red Rooster out of their back pocket to fill time.

Absolutely a phenomenal setlist. But please play more ABB songs. I hope someone recorded this on good audio, and hopefully on DVD too (First night DVDs are always good).

let's hope Keith is still playing Little T&A, in Europe, next summer.

-some nice setlist shakeups, for our US friends
-the band still not keen on playing ABB material though, are they?

I was really curious to see what songs they would play. i hoped for the best but i didn't expected this!!! What a set list! I always thought paint it Black would be a great but i never thought they would do it.

Great setlist, ESPESCIALLY FOR A STADIUM SHOW!!!!

Cheers,

Wow, this is a great setlist! If this continues, I am extremely envious of all those attending the US shows. Why could they not have played this in Europe? Although, I thought the setlists we got were fairly ok too. I am crossing my fingers that, if they come back here, we get a setlist like this! Monkey man, Under my thumb, Little T&A, You got the silver...man!

Its about time they changed things up, and that set looks great. I'd love to be there to hear Keith on You Got The Silver.

A good start to the setlist improvements. Interesting choices. Hopefully a sign of things to come. I wish they'd get rid of the warhorse finale. If they want to play "Satisfaction" and "Brown Sugar", why not in the middle of the set for a change.
If Jagger is perhaps reading this please consider:
"Biggest Mistake"
"Laugh, I Nearly Died"
"Almost Hear You Sigh"
"Already Over Me"
"Let It Loose"
"Pain In My Heart"

To pace a show properly, you DO need to play a few of your best songs towards the end. Makes sense to send the crowd home after theyve all been up on their feet towards the end to stuff everyone knows.

So, its pretty reasonable to expect the last third to be familiar songs. It would be nice to hear some OTHER well known songs thrown into the mix for that part of the show, but at least its a good sign that whereas before you could have left before Miss You and not missed anything, the 'Stones by numbers' part of the show is now just the last third or quarter instead of the entire second half.

I was really surprise, but don't expect setlists like this in Warsaw or Athens next year. No Miss you!!! But I wonder where are the ABB tracks left. Why didn't they add the recently rehearsed Won't Take Long?

Re: Stonesdoug posts setlist(Don't look if u want a surprise!)

Rehearsed doesnt mean 'perfected' or 'concert ready'. Its unrealistic to expect them to shoot their bolt by playing an almost entirely 'new' show on one given night, especially an opening one.

I'm sure it'll make an appearance in due course. As will She Saw Me Coming.

As Giants is their fourth visit to the New York area on this tour, and their sixth concert there, I'd expect a variety in what ABB songs they play at that show compared to what was performed there previously.

HOLY CRAP!!! WHAT A GREAT GREAT SHOW!!!!!!

It was so much fun! When Mick strapped on that guitar and started playing SV, I lost my mind! I don't care if it's been played before, I personally had never seen it done live. I was in heaven, that song alone was worth it for me. Then when Keith announced YGTS, I screamed my head off. I was jumping up and down so much that I actually pee'd my pants (just a little!) Little T&A was exciting, but I've seen them play that one before, it was still a really really nice mix up after hearing SA & BTMMR at the last few shows.

As for Keith not playing the guitar on YGTS, that made it so much more special. He really put everything into it. It was breathtaking! I was moved and grooved!!!!!!

I can't wipe the smile off of my face!

It wasn't an AMP problem--Johnny Starbucks had forgotten to turn the antennae on for both guitars that he gave Ronnie.
He told me that he admitted it to Ronnie but Ronnie told him that he would have to be the one to tell keith what happened.
