It would be a great to see a Faces reunion, if only for a few shows. They should get Wyman to play bass - only fair to have an ex-Stone in the Faces since an ex-Face is in the Stones.
and didn't ol' Bill play with them once before in a fill-in capacity? I wouldn't rule it out at all, especially if it were just a one-off and it were done somewhere where Bill didn't need to fly to get to....

Bill played bass when they reunited at the end of a Rod stadium show (Wembley I think) in the mid-80's and played a few songs.

He also filled in at the Brit awards during the 90s. I can't remember the year though I have it on video. The gig continued after the broadcast stopped - does anyone know what else was played?

It is the B-Side on the CD Single of "This" from Spanner in the Works. The backing is a bit faceless (no pun intended) but it's a great song to begin with, and it rocks so it works.
Hard to believe that Groom was left off Shot of Love; when you consider that Blind Willie McTell was left off Saved (I think), you wonder what Dylan was thinking back then.

Rod just announced a show at the Nokia Theater in New York on October 9. Pre-sale is this saturday. $75 a seat at a very intimate venue. I would go if I could. I wonder what kind of show this will be?????

Damn! I always get my Dylan fact wrong. If I weren't so lazy, I would get up off my ass and check my collection before posting.

If they record It's A Heartache , they should surely ask Bonnie Tyler to sing a duet on it . I think that would be interesting . I've always thought they sounded so much alike
Never mind what Rod is doing. Mac is the real rocker and the Bump Band is doing shows 3 straight nights in Chicago at Fitzgeralds Oct 11,12, and 13th. I will be going because these guys can really get it on and the price is right. Great club to boot, so come on out everyone and have a good time.

Wow - I never knew that. I always loved Rod's version so much (esp version with Keith on it!). Such a great guitar sound.

last I heard - a couple years ago - he was MIA somewhere in Japan.
Last I heard, which was from Dave at the Faces web site, Tetsu had been on several avant garde-ish Japanese jazz albums in the '70s & '80s. I think Mac has a relatively recent photo on his site, too. Always dug Tetsu's work with Free, though he doesn't exactly swing...The Rod/Ron song on RW's anthology is very good, imo, and I'd love to see the band with Bill on bass meself.
