Keith had to be at the studio by 8am Firday. He told a funny story when I saw him in Memphis. He met with Johnny to talk about the filming and they went to a wardrobe warehouse and "tried on frocks like a couple of broads" He said that they share clothes and jewerly. The shirt he has on in the backstage photos on the Scotty Moore webiste are from Johnny.I will try and upload my own photos from backstage in another thread.

I went to his suite at the Peabody. One of my friends is real close to Keith's family. I have been a fan of the Stones for 30 years. A couple of years ago I met someone who has known Keith since early days. I have been backstage at five shows. I have meet all the band members except for Mick. The people in keith's circle are all really nice and of course in person Keith is the center of attention. In Memphis I got to his room around Midnight. CNN was on the tv. I stayed for about three hours. I could have stayed longer but I was really tired. He did play the guitar and sang a little. I could not believe my ears and eyes, I was five feet away from Keith Richards! He offered me something to drink and said have some ribs. Someone asked about the current song selection and he said "Mick's gotta sing 'em so he chooses" I hope to go to a few more shows this tour and post pictures and a more complete story. I have not been told not to write/post anything but I don't want to get cause any discomfort for anyone. I told my friend that was I going to write about my experience and they are all fine with it. Believe me this has been some year in my life!!!

It's scottymoore.net in the scrapbook section. Rolling Stones in Memphis. They have photos with Keith and Ronnie and Elvis. I had an invite to after party they show but it was getting late.

Great backstage and hotel after photo's on the Scotty Moore page!!!

I know it sounds strange to not go to the party. But the night before had been enough. It was surreal to say the least.I never imagined in all the years I listend to the stones that I would get that close or be allowed to hang out with Keith Richards! I am not rich or famous just a long time fan. Also, Keith was not at the party. He had flown to to New York then England after the show. I could have gone but I think I would just have sat on the fringes.
