BARCELONA!!!!!!!!!!! No doubt.

Valladolid too, and so do Madrid...

They're only in it for the money.

Tautology, same shows, same versions. Nothing new

Yes. But there are no words to describe what I witnessed.

Porto of course
I 'v been to 5 shows and the best one was Porto so far...

In my opinion and in order

1- Porto (the crowd was amazing and the sound was very brillant and clear)
2- Paris (stones on fire and the best crowd after Porto)
3- 1st London (Sway, Ruby tuesday, rambler and London)
4- 2nd London (I didn't like the first part because the crowd was absent, but Keith was on fire on Sympathy and Satisfaction)
5- Nice (bad show, poor sound, stones only did the job and that's all)

I had to try Gaz. I simply had to. But what I wrote was puny compared to what I witnessed.

I attended four concerts. The best was Berlin. Definitely.

CrazyMama, as we both went (with exception of Milan) to nine of the shows together, I add my personal list here:

1. PORTO!!!!! Nothing can top that, everything, (crowd,mood,weather,performance) was just wonderful, -.TOP!
Le Paul Jagger, I compeltely agree with you on this one!

2. BERLIN - we had a great FOS spot, show was musically as hot as the summer air

3. TWICkENHAM 2 - for the same reasons you already quoted, and ex equo beautiful BERGEN, because of the smaller venue, the sound was just clearer there!!!

As unfortunately I missed out on Milan, Hannover, Köln, Stuttgart, Paris, Nice and Horsens, I cannot compare these.

Yes, Porto!!
Like some of us mentioned earlier , but Gerda and LE PAUL JAGGER did it more eloquentely; Jagger, the crowd,the atmosphere, the mood , the weather.
Maybe BV can say something because he saw maybe all the European concerts!

I think that it's all very relative. Everybody says he/she saw the best concert ever.It depends if you are in a good mood, not to tired etc. etc.
I saw them 9 times this summer and it was 9 times the best concert ever.
Only for the British shows (3 fantastic concerts) I have to say that I am not to happy with those seated places; this kills the atmosphere. It is very comfortable but if you suffered to get a good place in the Fos, you know what you were suffering for when the concert starts and that's what it's all about.

I agree with you on the second part!

Twickenham would have been sooo great, but all this seating-police and having to pass ten "Gate Check Points" - a few of these "Crowd Controllants" by the way t w i c e would try to direct me to the wrong seats, to Block E instead of B, where I really was - and this just to go to the loo, feels just a little bit strange if you are used to the "uncontrolled", slightly masochistic suffering for a good place in FOS!

If I choose to be "cattle", then I am rather one in a big field with one fence around then a chicken in a laying battery B 3/6/1 with security people all around me.

I am of course not against crowd control, but this British thing was a little bit between Security Alert at Heathrow Airport and trying to get into a top-security presidential summit in Davos.

But who I am to judge - I have never lived in Britain, therefore I have no idea what is really necessary for such kind of events. I just know in this respect I liked the Wembley Stones concerts of the Nineties a lot better.

Zürich?

With that dead-like audience? No offense, but Swiss people are the most difficult people to perform in front of, as they don't show much reaction. They behave completely "neutral", as Swiss always tries to be. No offense here, just experience;-)

Out of 4

Munich - Something was wrong, can't say what. Great night
Berlin - A bit dissapointed since the gig in 2003 was probably the best. Great Night!
Stuttgart - Great, just great! Only beated by, and the winner is
Cologne - What a night. A bit too much Ronnie but wow.

I had other experiences.... But it's always the same... it was a field concert, not a stadium. It's a difference.

This year I saw five shows and these are my ratings:

Munich = 8,0
Hannover = 9,0
Cologne = 10,0
Twickenham #1 = 9,5
Twickenham #2 = 10,0

...enjoy the Stones live as long as you can!

Daniel

I was at Paris, Porto and Horsens and I managed to be right in front of all three. For me Paris was the best as Midnite Rambler was a bit stressed in Horsens and guitars sounded slightly weak in Portugal. So, Paris!!

Keith the second and Gerda:

You are so right! Seating at a Stones concert is simply shit. I really cannot understand, why I had to pay that much money for good seats that - in my opinion - are not Front of stage. (Block B, row 11; 2nd concert row 6) We had a good view, but it was too far away, and besides that the people around us seemed to be so boring; at the beginning I was really annoyed. So where did the true fans have their seats?

Cardiff was 1 of the best. Just ask anyone who was there.
