Review Of Glasgow Gig

Having followed the tour via the internet I finally saw the band tonight.

The gig was excellent. Despite persistant rumours of poor sales, by the time the band hit the stage the stadium was 99% full.
All though raining all day it stopped before the show....As the band hit the stage at 8:30 the overcast sky helped to create a great atmosphere.

Reading this forum I wasn`t sure what to make of Ronnie`s solos......No problems tonight.....In particular his slide solo on Sway was magnificent. I have to say that Keith looked a bit frail but this didn`t affect his playing.

The setlist was as predicted on another thread.

I know YCAGWYW is not everyone`s fav....but tonight, being in a crowd of 50,000 singing along, it was majestic.

Hopefully you`l all enjoy the remaining UK shows.

Yes , totally agree with GuessWho's post.
Fantastic show at Hampden Park tonight , the Stones in top form.
Ruby Tuesday was the biggest crowd pleaser of the night.
Thought it might rain during Rain Fell Down however after a very rainy day it remained a beautiful dry evening.
The whole band were in excellent form throughout the gig.
Don't (ever) Stop !

Never believe what you read on this forum about Ron Wood's disability or Keith Richard's deminishing guitar playing.
I would say there are some people here you shouldn't believe anything they say.

Loved it too. Feel quite emotional about it all. Ruby Tuesday was gorgeous

I thought it was the best UK gig so far. Though I really liked Twickenham.
But sucks it the let down to 19 songs. I bed a lot of money that they will be back to 20 and more in the US.

What's this obsession with 19 or 20 songs ? Who gives a toss ? Why don't you just get lost in the music and stop counting bloody numbers ? If 19 songs can fill the 2 hours they play in because they "ain't got time" to play 20, then would you not think it's remotely possible that it's because they've probably just played their little hearts out for you with "longer than average" shitkicking versions of whatever ?
