The first time I ever heard of, or saw, the Rolling Stones was when this Mike Douglas show first aired in 1964. I was only about 8 or 9 years old at the time and happened to see it by chance. I've never forgotten it. And I've been hooked ever since.
Does anyone know the exact date of the original airing, which at the time, I believe, was broadcast live? I can't remember what the second song was that they played. I Wanna Be Your Man, maybe?
What a great thrill to see this after all these years, and to rediscover what it was about the Rolling Stones that turned me on.

Must admit I've never seen or even heard of this appearance before

Nico Zentgraf's "Complete works" has a listing for the Mike Douglas show, but merely that its a radio show and only an interview
