Sounds good to me...

But not for a few years, i dunno, they have so many great songs that they wrote, and so many great songs never played before live, it seems silly not to play them!

I got to admit that I like their rock more, but if they want to go back to the blues I think thats great. It`s more important that they do what they want than what I want.

But they play the blues so good...and have lots of blues tunes written by themselves!!!

It is silly not to play them, that seems to be why so many people are complaining around here and other boards. I'd love to see them go back to being a blues band, anything to get them to play a few different numbers. However they don't play any blues songs in today's shows. Back of my Hand was great but they dropped it pretty quickly.

Sure, I'd also like world peace and a winning lottery ticket.

RS-blues is cool, but I'll miss the R&R if it was just blues.

Its true that the Stones play the blues in their way...thats what makes them great!!No label intented just let it loose!!

Blues is boring. Any more than 1 or 2 songs and the whole set drags. And the blues is more of an attitude than a style and I don't think multi-millionaires with few real problems can convincingly deliver it for 2 hours.

The blues and old R&R is never ever boring!!!!!!Maybe Robert Cray is boring!!! Have you ever heard a boring Stones blues tune!!

Me too thinks Robert Cray is really dull.

the stones are good at blues becaues they put their own personality into it. Its not just immatating. they add their own thing.

I'm not a real big blues fan, as so much of the music sounds about the same. There's not enough diversity in it for me. As Dan said above, 1-2 songs would work well in a Stones set, but it would drag if there were more. The exception to this is if it was in a club setting, which is where blues music should be played, not in huge stadiums.

I've enjoyed seeing them play songs like Little Red Rooster, I Just Want To Make Love To You and Back Of My Hand live, but would not want a majority of a set devoted to these type of songs.

But if they became a blues-band again, they'd have to completely change their....performance, sidemusicians and big-scale-shows.

No expectations is blues for me too!!!!And Love in vain..and..the early ones....so many great versions ...and own written blues tunes!!!

I love their blues material and their rock songs too ... maybe a 50/50 split? They need to do something to bring them out of playing the same warhorses over and over. Coming to my hometown for the first time in 17 years has got me excited right now, but that trick only works once.

Or songs like "Highway Child", "I Don't Know The Reason Why" and "Still A Fool" or what ever they called this songs.
