ANYBODY ELSE HEARD THIS STORY?
Date: August 8, 2006 00:52

The true story about the Boston 1972 bust. The story revolves around Mick, Bill, Keith and Charlie beginning to see Brian around July 12, the day Flex got beat up. They never see him in the same place, but they all mention that they saw in in the front, or backstage, or driving in in the camper. Then, he starts appearing behind the amps. Keith thinks the roadies are playing a sick joke and actually throws a full bottle of Jack Daniels at a roadie, but the roadie ducks. Then, in Montreal, Mick swears it was Brian who threw the bottle at him. Mick says he saw in him the crowd smiling and the next thing he knows the bottle flies up on stage and when Mick looks, Brian has disappeared. On the plane to Boston they (Mick, Keith, Bill and Charlie) see Brian ON THE PLANE but in different locations. They're really freaked and scared. That's why they lost it in Warwick, because they were scared.

"The wonder of Jimi Hendrix was that he could stand up at all he was so pumped full of drugs." Patsy, Patsy Stone

Pow, I hear that, but I also see amateur actors not remotely resembling the Stones reenacting these mystical events.

Never heard the story. But I know of some great practical jokers that would go to great lenghts for a laugh. I don't know about the airplane part but a great practical joker could haev got a Brian look-a-like to mess with the band at a show when they were stoned.......................

don't give me that ole one two, one two three four

I thouht this story was common knowledge. He also appeared during the recording of Goat's Head Soup. Keith was 100% sure he saw Brians face in a goat, not much later to be eaten my the Stones party. This is how the got the title for the album!

He even took the lead back in 1998.

Are you serious?

Geez, and only Brian showed up, what about Stew? Has he ever shown his face during a show?

Come on now, do you really believe everything you read or hear?

I know, heres one, maybe Billy Preston will show up on the next leg of the Bigger Bang Tour, here in America, that would be cool! He was great in 1975 when I seen him with the Stones, maybe his spirit will appear and play!!

Yeah, lets bring all the dead Rock stars/entertainers to the show! Just to prove they are "undead", you know how that goes, Jimi isnt dead, nor is Janis,or Jim Morrison, who else might show, Oh, they like Elvis maybe he'll show too? Cause,he's not dead either...Ummm, I know just for fun...lets bring out Kurt and even TuPac, why not? And for nostalgia's sake, we could have George and John play for us! Cool, but Not Possible....

I know it sounds interesting and mysterious, but its just a story, with no real truth.

Just remember, don't believe everything you hear!

Thanks for the entertainment.

Take Care.

You think that's bad...look at the "ghost" of Keith Moon who shows up after the "Miss You" promo film plays in VIDEO REWIND...eerie! Back to reality, the incident with Brian and the goat did not occur during the Goats Head Soup sessions...it was in 1967 or 1968 during one of their visits to Morocco. They saw a blond goat and Brian said that's me. The Jajouka tribesmen then proceeded to slaughter and serve up the goat to everyone and Brian was visibly shaken while everyone else enjoyed a chuckle. The story appeared in David Dalton's "The First Twenty Years" book published in 1981. Sorry, but I don't believe Brian haunts the others as anything other than a memory.

Brian died in 1964, but nobody knew, so the 1968 Marocco trip you mention was allready with the ghost of Jones. He did it again in November 1972 whilst the Stones were recording Goat's head soup in Jamaica (no voodoo involved yet). Look very close to the album....Everybody is photographed as a ghost Rocky! Just play can your hear the music backwards and you hear Bill Wyman snore: Brian wrote in another land.

This is a serious thread, let's stick to the topic. Brian will appear again during the sequel of "Being Mick" as Jagger's hairdresser (only to be seen in the reflection of the mirror)

It is common knowledge that Jones was in the STP entourage. Some say Flex was Jones. Does anybody has a picture from Flex?
After the Winterland June 8 shows, Bukka White and John Lee Hooker came backstage to Jam with the Stones (Jagger already left to the suffocatin' Japanese Hotel Room). All of a sudden a fantastic lickenstick filled the room.
Brian did his thing. John Lee came in the mood. Bukka felt jolly good.

The only difference is that Syd was alive then.
BTW: These were Wish You Were Here sessions, not Dark Side.
