Interesting...this is what I would do - when you go to shake Mick's hand say "Oh wow Rod, this is SO COOL....I've always loved all your music and think MAGGIE MAY and SAILING are the best songs ever written in Rock history". Do it as straight as possible - at least you'll get Mick to laugh (or look at you you really strange). One way or another you'll stand out (and he'll probably talk about it later, maybe even make it into "BEING MICK Vol. 2")

My wife and I had a Meet and Greet with the Stones In Houston during the Licks tour. It was very quick, probably about 3 minutes, but they all came in and shook hands, posed with us for a photograph (great souvenir). We were told no autographs and I diddnt bother. Keith, Ronnie, Charlie then Mick came in in that order and I would say that was the order of their "approachability. But it was a blast and a fun time.

How much are the tickets?

Well, I was invited to this meet n' greet 'cause I have a friend at Virgin. He also arranged for me to be interviewed for the Danish Television Rolling Stones Theme night i May. So, you can understand, that I love him.

Now he has arranged that I can meet the Stones backstage in the most sacret room behind the scene. I will bring to cd covers for signatures and my digital camera - just in case :-)

I won't dress up, just wear a casual and cool t-shirt and a blazer, jeans and my trashy chuck Taylors. I will smile, be polite and probably try to chit chat with Keith and Ronnie. I believe Charlie won't be very talkative and Mick probably will hit on the young and foxy princess of Denmark :-)

But, one thing is sure: I will make them remember me!

Geraint Jones.... that will get his attention.

Get your autographs, shake their hands, and then . . . break every rule that there is.

When I was backstage. The Stones came through the area I was in to go to the meet and greet. A huge guard told me to saty in my seat (I was sitting eating cake) Mick walked right by me. Eariler in the evening Charlie sat talking to some people about three feet away. One the way back Charlie stopped to talk to his friends. Keith said hello to a few people and Mick just went back to his section. At the four shows I went to Charlie was out in the backstage area none of the others came out. I sat at a table with Chuck Levall and his wife.

Yeah it sounds like this is very quick, so if you try to get pix or autographs you'll miss it entirely. Just enjoy it and take it all in.

I look forward to just seeing them close-up...To shake their hands is a dream come true, but autographs would be...heaven...I MUST get them!

way cool, Michrud! i'm happy for you. the only suggestions i'd offer are:
if autographs are important to you, then being prepared is of course cool in case any of them has an urge to sign something,
but it's never ever a good idea to try to get the Stones to do things they don't feel like doing.
and i would absolutely not try bringing a camera, unless you feel like being ejected.
