I must admit although I will not hear anything detrimental against the Stones, I find these new dates, or rather the lack of dates in EU unnaceptable.

Maybe he is mad - (that is a medical term for mentally insane)

This new tourdates are strokes in our faces in Europe!
So they will ruine their European Fanbase!
Now We know why they have cancelled the shows.

Stones play in US because there´s no places in Europe to play, I mean big Stadiums, American Football Schedule is more flexible over there, to set in Europe the Fall Tour it s very difficult , European football leagues, etc,.
But I think, that right now they now the European Schedule for Eurpean football, cases of Liga, Spain, Calcio, Italy,etc, Stones should wait till now and reschedule the Fall tour.
My impresion? Dollars and tickets run faster in US, second day out, its sold out, here in Europe, still you can find tickets. And if I´d be a Business man I´d go for the US tour of course.

The US is his home. They actually let him come to the US, for treatment, when he needed it the most. Otherwise, people with a record like his (after Toronto and everything) are not allowed to enter the States. And certainly not to settle down. So, though I'm a real European, I understand his soft spot for the USA. (Remember; nobody else wanted to help him out back in '78)

This is an incorrect post. Keith did NOT say that at all. If you do care about the truth this is what they quote him on in the press release:

"I thought we left too soon you know, so that's the reason we're coming back. I'm really happy that we got some more gigs in America and Canada," said Keith Richards. "I'm feeling great and can't wait to get there. We're going to have the b-stage to get that very close thing happening with the band and the fans."

Remember Keith is saying - always:
It is good to be anywhere.
In Europe next summer he will say:
It is good to be here.

Leave all the complaining and bad news to old people who don't look forward but always look into the past. Life is too short to make up worries and problems that never happened.

Bjornulf, I hope you're right, but what makes you so confident that they return to Europe in 2007? Not the Milan press conference, was it?

I saw the look in Keith's eyes when he said "Hopeful". It was like he ment to say: "I owe you that one." Unless the band is finished forever they will do it.

Great! That there's an opening for Europe next summer. And the other issue: His soft spot for the USA is very understandable. They helped him out, let him have his treatment and got him back on his feet (with the love and help from Patti!). And look - and listen - to him now! Just can't help loving the guy.
