According to the latest rumors from higly credible sources inside the United States, Fall Tour ticket prices will range from $750-$1500. I believe this is absurd and that the rolling stones will not sell out any stadiums at these high prices. They should be ashamed
And I have it on good authority that they aren't going to be anymore than they were the last time around. The rumor on the Austin TX show tickets were they will be going for around $100 and that can't be right either. This always happens when the Stones announce a show. Everyone gets all fired up before they have the info. Too much speculation and rumor mongering just gets everyone all excited and riled up for no reason. Hang tight folks, you'll see! Keep the faith!
The Beacon Theatre in New York City may be the one exception due to it's limited capacity and the fact it's a theatre show.
Still love the doorbell ditcher's user name and it's kind of befitting to their approach. LMAO!
I'm still waiting for Ferrante/Shearer9 to surface saying that the Stones are "losing " to Barbara Streisand because she can charge $5000 for VIP packages while the Stones can't.

Pre official announcement claims The Stones will play "city park" in Austin in October. The only problem is nobody I've talked to in Austin has ever heard of such a place / venue. Do you have any info on this?

Maybe you should drop one 0, which is still expensive for the common man.

before the start of every tour there is always rumours about how high the ticket prices will be and they are always in excess of what the announced figure actually is. I am absolutely convinced that this is done deliberately and officially in order to decrease the extent of outrage when the announcement is actually made ("what? Theyre looking $450 for a ticket?? Christ, thats not so bad after all..I heard they were going to cost $1,000!!" , etc)
Going by the list of venues leaked for this tour, they'll already struggle to sell some of them out if the price range is a fifth or a tenth of what youre saying (how the hell do you fill a stadium in Montana for Gods sake?), so those figures are in no way realistic.

you are. However, its not JUST Cohl who is the problem, easy and legitimate target that he may be.
For the Austin "City Park" gig, they are talking about Zilker Park near downtown. The Austin American Statesman reported this in their Friday July 21 editions.

Don't blame Cohl. He was hired to maximize revenues and that's what he's doing. If he didn't do it, there would be a line up of folks at the door looking for the job. (myself included).
If the average ticket price is more than 400 us dollars then I would not go to the show. Because it would be a VIP show without real fans and for me that is not value. Luckiuly I am sure most shopws will have an average that normal people can afford, i.e. 100-150 dollars. That is why they plan for large venues.
100 $ is maybe ok nowadays but the seats where the fun is (FOS) in the usa are for the happy few (450 $) In Köln some seats were more than 200€. That's insane. I couldn't really enjoy my concerts in Chicago with my 150$ seats.

It should just END!! All those high prices. 40 dollars, general admission, THAT'S WHAT WE WANT!!
100 dollars is nothing for a band that has been on tour for 43 years. If you don't think they are worth 100 dollars one time every tour then go see another band. It is a free world.

this from the guy that tells us that Sway is too "daring" a choice on the current tour . . .

That's a senseless comment and you know it. Even if they've been on the road for 3000 years, 100 RIDICULE. It takes me months to earn a 100 dollars.

Sure, sure, but that doesn't make it less ridicule.
The Rolling Stones can Kiss my a&%....I wont pay anothr penny to see them perform, but I'll still love the music. When I read comments here from people who talk about spending a paycheck or 2 for ticket I cringe. Take a look at yourself, man! The Stones are filthy rich and you will deny yourself to pad their already bulging pockets?!...I dont get it. You must realize at some point how foolish it is to spend hard earned money so frivolously, even if you do love the band. Priorities, man...
