The guy who is selling this guitar is a VERY shady character with dubious scruples and a desire for publicity: Gary Zimet
Do a google search on the guy, and you'll find out that he's selling Mark David Chapman's copy of Double Fantasy autographed by John Lennon at the Dakota, the nite Chapman killed him.
He's also tried to sell a stolen copy of Macca's handwritten "Sgt. Pepper" lyrics.

An expert guitar maker can make a perfect replica of a 50s les paul or strat... i'm sure they could do the same for a $7 million fake gibson l-1 from the 30s...
