I'm very sorry for your loss.

In my dad's funeral, (1976, he was 37 and a true fan) we played Dead Flowers. Today I'd have picked Shine a Light.
But what was HIS favourite Stones song? Let him have the last word, so to speak.

Sorry for the loss of Your Dad. God Bless you and your family through this time. It takes some time to move on, but you will, keep tight with your family and loved ones, it will help in the grief and help you start anew.

Your father was a Hero, and maybe Salt of the Earth might be a song you might want to use.

Love and Peace,
Mickschick

Hey stoneslicks. I think that's pretty cool for you to come to us for support and suggestions at a time like this. I also think it is cool that your Dad was a Stones fan and a hero. You know, I never thought about it until now, but if I was somehow given the oppportunity to choose how I would die, I would want it to be as a hero. Damn right. A hero. Hang in there, bro'

Stoneslicks,

My prayers and hope and love go out to you and yours. Cherish the time he was a part of your life, and remember that. My condolences and best wishes go to you in this hard time. I hope you can find that hope that everyone deserves at a time like this. and I'm sure you're already finding it.

I suggest either "Till The Next Goodbye" or "Moonlight Mile"

Take Care, pal.

I'm probably too late (I couldn't upload this before now), but anyway:

All About You (probably St. Louis 1997):

The CD Acoustic @#$%& (with excellent versions of e.g. No Expectations and Sister Morphine):

I couldn't upload Brussels Affair Definitive Edition with e.g. Gimme Shelter from London Sept. 9, 1973.

Wild Horses was one of three songs/pieces of music that I chose to be played at my mother's funeral last year. It went down well with all her elderly friends, albeit that noe of them obviously had a clue what it was. Condolences by the way.

Erm, I don't think that would be very appropriate, singing "you can't always get what you want" at someones funeral.
