It is very hard to fix the acoustics once the building is done. If the curves are wrong then it will be like a large ressonance box and it would cost a fortune to change the inside shape. It take more than thousands of damping units hanging off the ceiling.

The Stones technicians said they liked to work with the Amsterdam ArenA when they did the recordings in 1998. Five shows. Same environment, no external variation from weather, temperature etc. But they tap the recording sound from the cable/mixer and not from our ears.

There must be a very good reason nobody have come up with why they don't use the Rotterdam stadium. It worked perfectly in the past, was better all ways. Must be a political reason. Or may be they get a better merchandising and vendor deal at the ArenA. Big difference if the venue ask for 10% or 25% of all revenue...

The problem is easily fixed in Horsens. No walls means no echoes. So they should just turn it up WAYYYYY loud.

The reason must be something like that. But, i would presume that it's better to earn less money because you play in a more expensive stadium and everybody who attends the show is happy then earn a little more and have dissapoiting fans because you have terrible sound. Don't forget, the die-hard fans are up front where the sound is the best, the casual fans are in the stands where there is terrible sound. So more then 80 % of the people attending have a relative bad experience because they couldn't hear it to well. I still think it is one of the main reasons why they didn't sell that many tickets this tour!!!

There hardly are any poop or rock concerts anymore in the Feijenoord stadium. I think the Stones in 2003 were the last and probably only performed there because no more ArenA could be booked. So the ArenA must offer the artists a better deal or at least Mojo. A shame.

marco Borsato, who is very big in holland playted seven shows at the Kuip in R'dam last year or two years ago. But i think apart from him there are indeed no other concerts there anymore. Even Marco Borsato moved to the Gelredome in Arnhem for his series of concerts.

it's a shame mojo is booking all these big acts in the wrong place!!!

Sheffield is always good for sound. It's an open athletics arena with no high stands or huge enclosed areas. It needs to be loud to sound impressive but there's no slap back or echo.
