They dragged that stage across the pond! Good for all of you! It's a cool stage but it seems a lot of the European cities have gotten downsized stages in years past.

was there field behind the B stage? - it looks like the seat risers start right behind the B stage! looks like a pretty small place...

Only downsized stage I can remember was the Urban Jungle one, for the rest I think we got the real deal.

Thanks Keith 1978

Nice pics.

Nice change from some of the other topics going on here at the moment!!!!.

I think they had the mainstage at the side of the stadium instead of one of the ends.
So pitch is wider instead of long.

Wow! That stage seems much higher than it was in the States. I guess that this is so everyone on a GA pitch can see. From the front row, it must have been like looking up a mountain.

This is from Boston, I think the stage is the same height:

Perhaps it is just the angle, but doesn't the bottom tier of the stage appear to be above the heads of the spectators in Milan? On the other hand, if you look at the Boston picture, it only comes to the waist of the roadies standing near the stage?

Maybe they raised it half a meter or so.

the stadium capacity for football is 80,000 making it one of the biggest 5 stadiums in Europe. I think the crowd limit last night was around 65,000 which would be bigger than any of the stadium shows on the North American leg, and only topped by Moncton, which was a field show.

Looks like a very small FOS. Anyway, just so that I understand how this works -- if you get in early, and grab a spot near the rail (when gates open at 6:00 p.m. or so??) then you basically have to stay there for 5 hours, right? No food, no beer, no going to the restrooms (or WC, if you will)?

The Urban Jungle stage was still huge and you got the dragon or whatever it was that ate up Jagger plus the soccer/footballs on the girls' feet so all is even from 1989 vs 1990.

5 hours if youre lucky! well..it helps if you bring your refreshments in with you, but it is basically an endurance test - yes. However it helps if you are with a group of people who will keep your place when you go for a piss or whatever until you get back (if you can find them)..

On some tours depending on what country it is theyve had a sort of golden circle for the first couple of thousand where the security people rope off an area near the front and give you a wristband to enable you to get back in

Ahh, no idea. I can't even remember during which song it showed up. They had random clips of many videos at a certain point. I remember a younger Jagger in the Undercover of the night video.

Is that Cohl on the end there in the orange shirt? Man, if it is he's really getting fat with all that good food he can afford.

It was one of the Hounds From Hell.
It came out from about the same location as the inflatable girl on the right.
This pic is from Gothenburg.
