Today ' s Rehearsals

Bitch (enough is enough with the recent live versions)

Tumbling Dice (warhorse, top 3 or 4 most played warhorse at that)

Streets Of Love (say no more)

Doesn't sound very promising to me. How about : "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" by the Temps or "I'm a Rolling Stone" by Muddy Waters. Then we'd be talkin' 'bout sumthin' I'm tellin' ya.

in my opinoion, if youre talking about a a show at a large venue, a ballad, even streets of love makes for a better all around show. I feel the same way about Keiths set. It really adds depth. Thats just my opinion.

Well, I guess I wouldn't mind hearing SOL, simply because I've never heard it before, but it just pales in comparison to their current "warhorse" ballads -- Wild Horses, Angie, Ruby Tuesday, Worried About You and As Tears Go By.

agree with you there. I have to admit If I ever see them again Id much rather hear worried about you than SOL. but I woudlnt necessarily feel I was SOL if I got SOL instead.

yesss! the whining season is started back again!
typical move: you forgot to mention another link to the same page says that they also rehearse She's a rainbow, and Con Le Mie Lacrime (Italian version of As tears go by) and also all down the line and beast of burden that were not played that much during american abb tour...

and oh i forgot harlem shuffle

and also Let it bleed, Out of control and Love is strong (nothing incredible but a little bit different from Tumbling dice in terms of how much they use to play dont you think?)

I will admit "Streets of Love" is probably a song I will never let play all the way through without hitting the fast forward button. However, if that's what they play in London I'll be fine with it. It's the Stones. Whatever they want to play will work.

OMG we are whiners...now Worried About You is considered a warhorse ballad?

WAY is a WARHORSE NOW?????

A little while ago there was a (admittedly not very believable!) thread about Keith's health- saying he had actually suffered a stroke & couldn't remember how to play properly.
Now- we find they are in good health & about to 'roll' again & people start whinging about the set-lists before they even hit the stage?. Un*******believable!

Mick would see it that way as would a sizeable element of the fanbase who want to believe it even though factually the claim doesnt add up!

Yestreday the rehearsals went on for quite a long time, but all I know is that they did Bitch, Streets of Love and CYHMK.

regardless of the 'I want/dont want to hear that one' argument, its a refreshing sign that they are actually rehearsing so many songs that werent tried earlier in the tour - because I think most of guessed it would more of the same.

Now, if only they'll have the balls to play most of them...

We haven't heared Streets of Love performend live yet.
It might get some real nice guitar treatment to hit the stage.

remember all the beautyful different live versions of Wild Horses

streets of love and con le mie lacrime, I am quite confident they will play them
then I agree, so many times they rehearsed tons and played kilos
also regardless of the warhorse/obscurity debate (take 40licks and play Have you seen, Emotional, Mothers littler helper, Lady Jane....etc or watch saitama and tell them: dont dare not to play MR or Star me up...etc)

Come on, I love MR and it works really well...
And SMU would be a perfect choice to open the show...

A prediction: Harlem Shuffle is gonna get played in Europe. It's been rehearsed repeatedly and was a hit in Europe back in the year of my birth. Look for it in the 'She's So Cold' slot.

a fair point, although its worth pointing out that 'Wild Horses' is a great song to begin with - whereas you know the old saying about not being able to polish a turd

for the sheer comedy effect, I am looking forward to seeing SOL played at Wembley. I am still working up my "response material" ....
