Johnny Cash Live In Denmark, 1971.

Not too bad, but too much like family entertainment, unlike the edgy prison concerts of 1969, or the Madison Square Garden 1969 gig. You can tell the complacency setting in, which soon extended to his recordings.

A year down the line, and Osteraker was a return to the edgy Cash, perhaps because it was another prison concert.

Elvis At Sun.
Remarkable...I keep thinking Elvis is gonna miss a note and he nails it every time. Scotty and Bill sound like they're keeping up on the edge of their pants.
Incredible work. I think I've just realised that Elvis probably didn't get any better even though I've always loved the early RCA sides like Heartbreak Hotel and Hound Dog.
