You're right, Tod. Great musicians. And I had the fortune to be one of Rick's friends, so I'll just add: What a great guy! He was a very kind, warm person. Everyone who are wondering about the rock'n'roll heaven ought to litsten to The Band's "Too Soon Gone". A wonderfull song about those we miss.

great call. first time I heard that song, I wept. beautiful. Rick was my favorite of the Band's vocalist - a true original. only had the chance to see Rick 3 times - once with Butterfield, once with Ringo and once with the last incarnation of The Band in 1996. I consider myself lucky.
