But honestly how can you decide which country is best for the Stones ?
All fans say their own country, the tour promoters say where the money is (USA...) but what do The Stones themselves think ?

the Stones will say that the place they happen to be in at the time is 'best' !

Theyve raved about South America before but the fact they've only played 3 shows there in 8 years (one of them a free one which meant that they didnt have to stay in Brazil too long) and spent no more than a week down there in all that time would suggest that their definition of their favourite audience is based on how much money they can make more than anything else.

the fact that they tend to play more shows in Las Vegas on each tour than in Buenos aires speaks volumes

the USA is clearly 'the best' for making money.

USA - more specificly, NEW YORK CITY!! The RS have played MSG 22 times, has that number been topped? Aside from MSG they played Roseland, Radio City, and some other club shows.

plus Giants Stadium (ok, so its NJ) a whole bunch.

it only proves that its a suitable venue in a city they play very frequently. Theyve played the Tokyo Dome 25 times (off the top of my head) since 1990. MSG has been played 24 times. Theres a few London clubs with several more appearances in the 1962-63 era however

the only other place smaller than an arena that the Stones have played in New York City since the mid 60's was the Palladium in 1978, so thats three theatre sized shows in NYC in 40 years.

At least they usually play there very well and that's a sign of a good place then.
