I'm not planning to see any shows other than on dvd with their 70s and 60s and 80s and that is probably crazy.

Yes! I've had that one several times over. I usually say : Yes, I might be crazy. But only those who are really ill - with a diagnose - find it necessary to carry around papers stating they are NORMAL... Normal - the way you define it - is probably very over rated. If your kind of normal is the answer, I'll rather stay crazy. And I'll love it! If you get these questions - just tell people they don't know what they're missing. They'll probably die not knowing what life COULD have been like - if they had dared to have a passion in their lives. Just out of fear for not being called normal... Good luck to them! We're off to see the Stones - once, twice and several times. We love it! See you folks here, there and everywhere. Let's be crazy.

Most of the time, it is the kind of people who goes to see or play football.... which in my opinion is as or even more crazy....

22 persons going on a football field running after a ball, kicking it away and then running after it again etc.... - in fact around 90% of all football games are extremely boring / annoying....

Then it is quite much better to go to a Stones consert.... just wished I could go to even more than I already do.....

So, don't worry - rather several Stones conserts than several football matches..

It is mostly football people. They travel for miles to watch their team lose which makes them miserable, and when their teams are at the bottom of the league still tell you how great their teams are.

It's strange but you break 'the unwritten law' if you change the team you support, it's like your favourite team must stay the same no matter that you grow up and your tastes in food or music develop. But then I've been following the same band for 26 years ....

i tell them: you probably think they are old farts because newspapers told you so, but they rock as noone does and it's fun and that's good not crazy.

I answer "Yeah, you're maybe right but I can't help it, it's this wonderful rock'n'roll virus that I contracted many many years ago...and I don't wanna be cured at all...I hope it stays inside my body forever..."

So called normal people are not Stone free...so be glad...I even wonder are you crazy enough!!!?

But don't you think being "normal" is terribly overrated?! If only normal people walked around, most of the inventions we have learned to appreciate were done by really original people. Some of them freaks - just think about it! What a dull, grey world it would be, GEEE! I couldn't stand it.

And heres what I do: I pick up the guitar and play Midnight Rambler, Keiths mid. section, for one hour. Then, open tuning and one hour of Hand of fate, Brown Sugar and possibly Happy or All down the line. They will never listen to Stones after this but I feel satisfied nevertheless.

The answer is usually 'yes' - so I use that as a comparison

Its natural to justify it by saying that if you go somewhere you really like, you'll go again during that holiday (in our case, during a tour) because what's on offer is really good and oce your holiday is over, you might not have thc chance to go back for a few years (if ever)

and like any restaurant, the menu has enough variety that you might get to sample something that you didnt get the last time you were there. You get different experiences each time.

Plus, if you really want to make them wonder - tell them that you always get laid at Stones shows (even if you dont). That usually shuts them up.

Gazza, that restaurant/holiday/bar comparison reminded me of someone's way of talking.....who could it be ?

If that remark was made to me about going to several shows
with the Stones, I would answer:

Sure I am, but I'm having the time of my life!

Simple as that!
