OT: Bill Hicks

Just listening to an old Bill Hicks cd, this afternoon, and I thought that he may have been quite a prophet:

"Keith Richards outlived Jim Fixx, the runner and health nut. The plot thickens. You remember Jim Fixx? (...) Keith Richards is shooting heroin into his eyeball, and he's still touring, all right? I'm getting mixed signals. I picture nuclear war, two things survive: Keef and bugs. [imitates Keith] "Where'd everybody go? I saw a bright light, I thought we were on.""

I wonder what good old Bill would have had to say about coconuts, had he still been with us...

There, I've put the clip on line, for y'all. The Keef-part is somewhere halfway.

Bill Hicks - funniest stand-up ever.

Never mind coconuts...the guy died about 12 years ago, but part of his material was about what a mess George Bush was making in Iraq. How times change, eh?
