It'll be in New York on December 31st 3000. The Stones will build a portable stadium with a retractable roof and a floating stage. There wont be any PA. We'll have the mix aired into our brains wirelessly and we'll be able to mix everything according to personal preference. The show will be 200 hours long and everyone in the band will get adrenaline injections to continue going for long jams at a time. They'll play every song every written alphabetically, including all outtakes.
I had a dream like that Drake but it wasn't The Stones,it was KISS so I flipped out and ripped my own head off my body half through. It didn't die right away so I had to hear the entire "I Just Wanna Rock n' Roll All Night and Party Every Day" with my head laying on the cold cement stadium floor next to a half full tub of stale popcorn - wow, that was one horrible nightmare, thanks for reminding me....
Wembley Stadium 2007 in August. Afraid we're getting close to closing time. But I think may be The Glimmer Twins will continue as a dou. Like the Everly Brothers. Or more likely, like Sonny and Cher.
Wembley 2007. Definitely. that's home! And may be a club show for friends and family at the Astoria. Europe's home. England is definitely home. No matter what the Americans say. They'll think with their hearts for the final shows. Home is where the heart is.
If they are going to choose to play a final show, it SHOULD be in London. No question about that
However, I dont think the band will have any control over where the final show will be as I think they wont do an 'officially' final tour but will cease to tour when one of them dies.
...the last concert will be played just before the sun turns into a red giant and then goes supernova............of course Keith will survive, but nobody else will.........!
i think somewhere in london, probably at the marquee or some place like that, followed by a show at wembley or something, televised, that everyone can see.
I'm with the idea that they will continue to play for a while, until something arises, and probably scale things down a bit. If they were to decide to play a final show, they should do a series of three, maybe four shows.South America first, the U.S. second, and London last. They could make a big production out of a final show. They could have guests such as Taylor,Wyman, and Ian McLagan, and they could do a real long set list because, there would be plenty of time to rest afterwards.Of course the last show would be broadcast and recorded. It would attract quite an audience however,I don't see this happening before the 50th anniversary.
As far as this current tour goes, if the rumours about the Canadian shows in the fall are true, perhaps Vancouver will be the final stop. If they do play here, I wonder if it'll be an arena show at GM Place or a stadium show at BC Place like they have the past 5 shows.
In Hades....for the Great Horned One himself. One song....Sympathy for The Devil,,,,,for eternity....with Ronnie re-butchering the solo in endless variations forever...and ever..and ever
I hope they finish with a show at Wembley at the end of the re-scheduled tour for 2007 (hopefully). 45 years on the road. Ladies and Gentlemen THE ROLLING STONES!!!!!!!!!
