I think when someone we all hold dearly has survived a health scare we breathe a sigh of relief and then rejoice. Then we can look back and perhaps find some humor in it. Don't have your nose so high in the air as to suggest that those who are finding a bit of humor in this now are showing any lack of decency. It's done respectfully and with affection toward Keith, while actually poking a little fun at Mick.
The problem with "bad taste humour" is that it doesn't always travel well or suit a written medium.
Some of us have a very sick sense of humour, which is immediately picked up by those of a similar inclination..but which can easily upset other folks if we're not careful. Internet forums are probably not the place for our sickest jokes ;^)
[At my dads funeral, it was pissing down with rain,[ torrential, lasted days.] On the way to the graveside the vicar and I joked about the possibility of dad floating out of his grave and sailing away down the road. We use such humour to relieve the tension of genuinely troubling times. It doesn't infer any disrespect or insensitivity..it's just that some folks don't get it..they get offended instead.]
naah, don't worry about it. the funeral picture was pretty wild. beautiful in a way - liked that. so he decided to sail away instead of letting anybody to put him down
If Jagger is going to mention anything about the accident at all, I hope he'll just put his arm around Keith and say something in the direction of "It's good to have you here, it's good to be on stage with you anywhere", and I'll sob and cry like all the grown men around me. Does anyone remember the club show at Cirkus in Stockholm - that very touching moment when Keith put his arms around Mick after his fabulous, fantastic, unbelieveable version of "That's how strong my love is"? (That's the man - that's my man!) And 7 feet tall men cried, and women of 5'8", (me), too... That was one of those moments, GOLD!
I disagree with the idea that Mick Jagger is funny. I think he has a good sense of humor, which is important, but being funny is something else enterily. Hes never said anything that made me laugh till it hurt. But im not complaining no one can do it all. I mean he may not be a comedian, but hes the best at what he does.
hes mildley amusing IMO. Like at Elton Johns party, I thought he was pretty funny when He said his video would be on the elton john network. but, hes not THAT funny. but like I said, he does have a good sense of humor, thats whats most important. Now, take someone like Dave Chappel, now hes FUNNY. theres a difference.

I think all men of 62 (63 soon) who wiggle their bums and chase 17-year olds are FUNNY! OK, not comedians - but funny. And when the kids ask him to say something in his "war voice"- that one is hillarious - just like "Allo, Allo".
Welcome Virginia, welcome Hampton. And welcome to everybody that watching on TV tonight, I hope you're having a good time, drinking a few beers, smoking a few joints, and awright. Let's spend the night together.... (by memory, so it might be a few faults)
Mick will say...and now, we will play a few rare songs so that we can all be happy, and for all of you that have lost money with the cococnut thing, we are sorry, don't forget to pay more for the new tickets of the "postponed" shows

You mean after Under My Thumb. The answers provided to your question refer to after UMT.

Yes, in Still Life album, but in Hampton bootleg after WTWCD. Anyway the same "speech" and before LSTNT. Here's WTWCD (and that ... "speech"). Version that's not bad at all by the way

I think it's much much wierder that they left out the 3 new songs, Black Limousine, T&A, Neighbors....+ their 2 acoustic songs. Could have been a much better album, if it was double. In the CD-age, there's room for much more, perhaps 6 more tracks, and still a single-album.
