According to " The Sun" Keith is doing well in his US home..he is playing tennis( not so well they say) and he stopped drinking alcohol..just 2 bottle beers a day) which is nothing....
He is recovering well and they say he is totaly looking forward playing live gigs with the Stones next month.
Well..if this is realy true.....this is good news indeed.

they were right before? About what? They were the ONLY UK paper who insisted on the fictitious "two operations" nonsense and they effectively stated that Keith had brain damage and would possibly never perform again.... > > Must be a strange thing to see, keith playing > tennis... :-)
keith has played tennis for years. Its nothing new. He used to boast about how in the 70's he would play Jagger at tennis, Mick would take it all serious and turn up in his best 'whites' and, even though he was a junkie, keith would still beat him..
"(KP International) – Despite the rust and moss growing on ageing Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards figures it's never too late to start a workout regime. Richards, who is currently recovering from a brain operation after he fell from a coconut tree while on vacation in Fiji, has reportedly started to get back in shape for the remaining leg of the Stones' tour. The 62-year-old musician has taken to the tennis courts every day to get fit. "His tennis isn't as ace as his guitaring, but he's getting back to full health Keith-style," a friend of Richards told the UK's Sun. Also in the interest of his health, Richards has decided to give his liver a bit of a break and is limiting himself to only two pints of lager per day.
Keith always was a handy tennis player by all accounts...and no doubt he's had a few tips in recent years from his mate Johnny Mac .
As for the 2 pints of lager bit. Part of his secret is quite possibly that he's always had the power of will to control his habits when he has to.
There'll no doubt be some grain of truth in it. Papers like the sun don't tend to invent stories...they just dress them up and embelish them for dramatic effect.
Somebody that knows Keith has probably let slip that he's had the odd game of tennis. After that they wing it.
Point is that Keith's evidently well on the mend.
[I certainly find a set of tennis far more physically draining than a couple of hours on stage... ;^) ]

I think the quote that goes with that is something like " I used to play Mick at tennis, go to the toilets for a fix half way through and still come back and beat him!"

Thank you, spirits! Our energies have been channeled in the right direction... Crap! Great to hear he's playing tennis. He'd probably beat all of us on the court. Even though the source here is The Sun, let's hope it's true. Nothing would make me happier.

because knowing the way they operate, they tend to like to sensationalise negative things and scandalous stories as well as exploiting people's misfortune in order to sell copies
For them to actually report a 'good news' story without any undue exaggeration or 'spin' is more likely to indicate that its accurate as they have no axe to grind while taking an angle like this
