I saw the mighty Quo back in 84 on their "End of the road" tour. 22 years on they are still at it. Even the Eagles and Kiss dont have longer farewell tours. Good luck to em tho. When they toured in 84 the queue went right round the Glasgow Apollo. People queued all night. I remember some little old lady who was totally pissed lifting up her skirt and pissing on the pavement. The whole line moved onto Renfield Street to avoid the piss rolling down the hill, and the police had to shepherd everyone back onto the pavement - Happy days!

I just read an article, Prince Charles' favourite musician was Leonard Cohen....that's really odd.

You would be a Leonard Cohen fan too if you had to wake up and look at Camilla every morning.

Just kidding, but Charlie sure is weird,Quo and Leonard Cohen, I bet he listens to George Michael as well

The Mighty Quo ---

Known also as the most knocked band in history, and, yes, one of the longest surviving acts. Methinks they started in '66,had thier first single in '67,and,continue to rock'n'roll to this very day, albeit with only Francis Rossi & Rick Parfitt remaining from the original lineup.

I have such a love for the Quo -- or I should say,a love for the Quo LIVE in concert. Their records for the past 25 years have ranged from fairly okay(two of three of 'em) to the downright abysmal(too many to bloody count^). Studio wise, they're an extremely pale imitation of the band they once were -- between 1970 and 1976 they made some genuinely thrilling rock records. Early-mid seventies Quo were a force, whereas most every record from 1981 on has diluted their sound to the woeful sing-along,happy-dippy,family-friendly 'muzak' they spent most of the '80's and '90's peddling.

But LIVE-- that's where it's at,they still put on one hell of a show, the set drawing of course from the excellent '70's albums. Sure,it may be the same set year in year out, but,it's a rock'n'roll party, and by gum,you just got to love 'em!

no they werent. They just happened to play a Princes Trust charity concert that he attended about 20 years ago and at the time it was seen as a big deal for the heir to the throne to be at a 'rock' concert. Judging by how ill at ease he looked during it when it was on TV, he probably would have preferred to be having a boil lanced.

His admiration for Cohen at least shows he isnt deaf, although his choice of Camilla over Di proved that he is almost certainly blind
