Heartbreaker and Down in the Hole don't really fall into the "sad" catagory, more like tragic. Tie You Up a "sad" song? Seems like tongue in cheek parody to me.

Today my suggestion is:
1 Happy
2 Happy
3 Happy
4 Happy
5 Happy
6 Happy
7 Happy
8 Happy
9 Happy
10 Happy

I'm not gonna bury myself in grief over the postponed concerts,
and my lost money.
Let's rock'n roll instead!

And the sad songs you list here, those are even happy songs to me. I like the Stones slow songs very much, and listen to them often even if I'm sad or happy.

Get well Keith!!! We want you back on stage!

can you explain to me why this is a "sad" song? just because it's a ballad doesn't mean it's sad!

Nikkibong, haven't you learned that it's no point in complaining about "your 10 top....."-lists. EVeryone out there is crazy.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned You Can't Always Get What You Want or Hand of Fate, two of the saddest - and best - songs in the Stones canon.

I don't find Hand Of Fate sad...it's really sparking, and full of guts, nomatter how the lyric goes.
