there's been much discussion about Bill and 1981 on this board. He is dearly missed......

He's dearly missed among both the whiners and the lamps,
but not among the bashers. They seem to like Darryl or Led Zeppelin.

bring back bill....he clearly added to the over all sound that made the rolling stones! darryl's good but he's no bill wyman..

And bring back Miles Davis to.

he is great on miss you as well. love the 78 and 81 versions of this song but after that.....

such brilliant work...i miss him too...

i've had those kind of ephianies with Bill's playing recently also, even with the earliest live boots from '64 (depending on quality...and some are really really good, bass and drums very clear)...
yeah it's been said before, of course...
but charlie and bill playing together and fueling that stone thang is just about the most amazing musical experiences i've ever had in my life.
he's so melodic, adventurous, original, percussive, standing there quietly and just being ferocious on the bottom...indescribably delicious...

Bill Rocks...I dont think I ever heard a bum not out of him....

Bill's always been underestimated. He was a big part in the band's sound, same level as Charlie.
