I can easily hear Mick playing with Keith and MickT, a hundred versions in a row. That was a kinda rehearsal for the following tour...

Yea, it's really really rocking, very good solo, with a rollin' felling, nice open-g. The singer sounds so English, is he really German?

i haven't read all the posts yet, but i love the '72 live version of this ("Ladies & Gentleman...)

the tempo is a bit faster, and seeing mick'n keith at the mike together is such a buzz.

graham would have approved.
parsons, that is.

tayor took gram's country licks to another level and put his own stamp.taylor gives up a textbook solo and his technique watch how he uses his pinky to support those country bends on LAG.

Dead Flowers is one of the all time best road trip tunes. Doesn't get much better than this one.

This my favourite stones song. Perfect intro, easy (3 chords), nice acoustic guitar, great Taylor´s solo...I think it´s one of the few Stones songs it´s better in Studio. Difficult to recreate that atmosphere again.

True, ya @#$%&. The SF Dead Flowers is pure magic - and whereas many live versions are excellent indeed, nothing quite captures the glory of that studio recording.

Though Mick Taylor and Ronne Wood play the solo live, I always thought Keith's solo on the record version was one of his finest moments and I wish he would play it on stage. His phrasing was impecable and the way he plays just behind the beat earned him a place in music heaven for just this song alone.

one of my favorite moments at the rogers center this year, is when Mick strapped on an acoustice guitar, and said into the mick: "Dead Flowers", and started to play.

Beautiful.
