He did fall out of a tree but he was not after coconuts. He landed on his feet and fell backwards and hit his head. Later that day, he was out in a speed boat and got severe headaches. He did have surgery and all went well and Keith is ready to get the tour started as soon as possible."

He must feel really certain of this, he has re-arranged the tour schedule on his site so that the first show is July 5 in Croatia; which I find a bit hard to believe. Doug is usually pretty spot on, but I think it is way too early and contradicts what the Stones and management are themselves saying about starting in June to write the whole month off at this point.

but i'm still sticking with my 'inside' story of the actual incident. which was Keef N Ronnie being completely out of their heads for days and at this exclusive hotel and then believing they could actually fly out of the tree

I thought the logical deduction was that the concerts in between would be cancelled as well. Lucky for me I didn't book a lot of concerts anymore this tour like I did the last tour because I didn't think it was wurth it anymore this tour. Only 6, cancelled 3. And I saw them in Chicago this year but saw nothing new actually.
And only stadium concerts :-(

That was already posted earlier. There is no need to open a new topic for every newsfart.

The new beginning of the tour (in Germany) fixed after the 8th of july makes sense as it's 2 months after the surgery.
Enough time to recover for 80% of people after such a surgery.

Good news week

Happy keef is felling better and ready to R&R.

I am in a state where I don't care much about the concerts anymore.
There is no use - we will know when they tell us and there is nothing we can do against it. I just hope it won't be a big hassle to get refund for the tickets...
I think soon we can say "bye-bye" to our summer plans.

I havent seen the same concerts the past 12 years...Yes I'd tweak the setlist a bit to feature more recent material, but the band seemed much hotter & grungier (more guitar oriented & less horns/keys) this tour, Licks was a nice retrospective type show with many rarely played songs & covers, No Security had its own 'back to basics' identity, VL & B2B both featured lots of new material, etc...

My Summer plans are made and I will enjoy myself with or without the Boys.

Of course would rather they join me for a couple of hours here and there.

I'd rather there had been coconuts...

If that was all there was to Keith's fall, why didn't anyone offically let us know that? Why 3 1/2 weeks of secrecy about it?
