It's too bad though that the Swedes were such poor sportsmen when they played Canada yesterday. Clubbing the Canadian superstar Crosby in the mouth with a stick right after he scores a goal was utterly classless.
Congratulations on beating the Czechs.

Congratulations! And don't blame the entire Swedish team on one player freaking out. Since when was Canada playing like schoolkids? I bet some Canadian players have been over-reacting at times as well. It was a fair game overall vs. Canada yesterday. By the way that incident cost Sweden a lot so it was a fair call. And Crosby was still on the ice afterwards so no offense. Sweden are champions and they were the best team. Simple as that.

First time in the history a hockey team is winning both the Olympics and the World Championship during the same season. Congratulations Sweden!

CANADA- WE'RE NUMBER 4!! Pretty pathetic performance by Canada to finish fourth. Going into the tournament, the expectation was gold or nothing. The unfortunate reality is that most Canadian players don't get really excited about going to the tournament because that means their NHL team hasn't made the Stanley Cup playoffs. Every year alot of Canadian stars that are asked to go decline blaming injuries, etc., yet if their team was still in the playoffs, they'd be playing. I was actually surprised Brendan Shanahan went over. I think to European players, this tournament is a real high light.
Regardless, congrats to Sweden.
